MTNOPS.com…a new snowboarding website

I spend a good amount of time perusing the internet especially when it comes to snowboarding and mtnops is another good community on the rise that offers up something different.  You can find me over there as well and my blog feed.

MTNOPS.com:  A new snowboarding website

Brought to you from the creator of SNOWBOARD Magazine and computer prodigy JP Stoermer, MTNOPS is a whole new kind of snowboarding website. With nearly a year in development, we are finally ready to share this new information platform.

Please take the time to check out the MTNOPS website and feel free to contact us with any questions at team@mtnops.com

What is MTNOPS?

What Facebook does to link people with common friends, MTNOPS does to unite people of common interest. Users naturally connect based on where they are and what they want to do. What Google does for search, MTNOPS does for predictive search. It delivers the content users want without them asking for it. What Shopper.com does for people interested in buying technology, MTNOPS does for targeted goods and services. It brings the best deals in any product category directly to the consumer.

MTNOPS is a real community that is virtual, not a virtual community.

MTNOPS is the first software platform to tie people of common interest while driving information pertinent to each user.  Weather, news, brands, retailers, locations and other participants are presented on each user’s homepage and update with each return, building a custom webpage that dynamically harvests content from across the web.  Sophisticated social networking tools connect individuals based on common interests and location.

Here are some of the features you will find on MTNOPS.COM, the latest news from the sport of snowboarding, current weather, deals found on websites around the internet, riders from around North America and our exclusive Online Riding Journal.

In addition, feel free to check on any resort, brand or shop in the country by simply typing http://mtnops.com/anything (for example, http://mtnops.com/burton, http://mtnops.com/snowbird, http://mtnops.com/boardbin)

They started out as an online community, the deals was a section added so people could shop around using the internet. I still see it as a mtnops, I rarely look at the deals section myself…just not what I’m there for.

Some people shop for a deal and some people shop somewhere they can get good service. Overstock in the industry is a reality and the stuff gets sold one way or the other. But I would hardly consider MTNOPS a deal site since every specialty retailer in the country has a webpage on the site.
