Riding Journal

Copper 11/23/08

Stayed the weekend in Breckenridge so today could enjoy another day on the slopes and today was to shred Copper.
Our crew today consisted of Andrew, Jakub, Amy, Aaron, Ashley, Erika and myself.  Mix of skiers and snowboarders for the day.
It was another great day on the snow, sun shining and with some exceptions the wind and clouds stayed away.  It hasn’t snowed in Colorado recently so a lot of the snow was man-made and some icy spots.  By the afternoon it was a lot more icy on the runs.
Copper opened the American Flyer chairlift this week so that means more lifts and less lines on the mountain.  We spent the majority of the day there just riding and enjoying the rollers.  I spent a lot of time just riding switch and working on that, since it would make the runs harder for me.

It was great to see that the halfpipe is taking shape and the cats were working all day on it.  I am awaiting the opening day for the halfpipe and I will be there totally happy to be in it again.

The rollers were fun to play on, here’s Andrew doing a tail press off the roller

I had a great weekend, from riding Breck to Copper and with new crews to old crews…it was just fun being on snow.
