The new shayboarder.com sneak peak
15 Feb, 2009
It won’t be long before the new shayboarder.com comes out of the woodwork. Here’s a glimpse at how it is looking and what to expect. It’s been months in the making, with a friend helping me out and still working to finish it up.
When I requested a new site, the first mock-up that came out was bright snowflakes and too much prettyness and lets be honest that’s not shayboarder.com and definitely not me. So we darkened it up and kept with the signature header that makes my blog. For the past couple months you’ve seen that header in my videos as the opener.
This new site is more organized with easier access to find featured articles, interviews, reviews, photos. Advertising has been opened up but with limited advertising, I certainly don’t want my readers overcome with tons of ads before they get to check out content. Content always matters more than ad space. The Chat box continues to keep the entertaining easy comments from me and you available for anyone to see.
Don’t let looks deceive you…it’s still a blog. Shayboarder.com started out as a blog and will continue to be a blog, just with a more webbish look to it.
Everything you need to know about myself, Shayboarder. It makes it completely easy to stalk me, you can contact me, find out more about me, get a feel for my traffic on the site and see my current collection and riding statistics in one spot.
Articles that I write up will go directly into features for easy access.
All the reviews will be easy to find without having to scroll to the bottom of a super long page.
I’ll continue with the interviews with companies, people in the industry and various other fun interviews to check out.
Each day that I ride, I write up a riding post with pictures and videos. All complete in one location.
The best of the best. SIA 2009 pictures in one location or pictures from the Oakley Event, the galleries will be easy to find and check out the latest photos.
Any question you have or if you want to read questions I’ve been asked…this is the area for it. It’s like that Dear Ann newspaper column…but for snowboarding.
All my favorite blogs, websites and companies links will be in one location.
It’s a whole lot better than the current search. I think you can stop using google for search now.
It’s still in progress, there’s some final touches to be made and gotta get all the latest content over. As you can see in the photo the content was last updated months ago, so be patient and eventually one day you’ll get to experience a whole new shayboarder.com
