Carl, that's awesome to hear you are enjoying them!

Eiki, Snowboard Mag and Snowboarder have their board tests. I just put up the post on the Snowboard Mag Platinum Pick winners here. I'll be doing a write up about the snowboarder results as well probably next week.

What about the other Mags, that did a Boardtest? Will they publish their results online?
Anybody here that has some infornations? I know that Snowboarder Magazine published some results, but they just got 3 top boards and than the top 3 boards of a certain region.
What about the Snowboard-Mag and their Platium Picks ?
Thanks

@Vince
Just FYI, I bought my 09 SL-R because of Shay and then bought a NS Eclipse for the summer because I ended up loving SL-R so much. Shay is the goodwill ambassador for NS, I'm now hooked because of her...

Lis, definitely although I am surprised when companies don't step up with wide models most recently with reverse camber wide models...surprising is all.

Adrian, rad! The DK is always on my list but I always save it for a pipe day and that never happens. Hopefully this year!

Vince, definitely the more runs the better, I know my best reviews are when I can ride them for a longer amount of time and get a better feel for them than on a demo day. Awesome to hear, I hope Michelle is stoked on the board this year!

Shay is right on about Transworld only testing a run or two. I have been going to dealer demos since they strted for snowboarding and know it takes more than a few runs to really get a feel for a board. Especially when your riding so many different boards in a day. I now work for NS and know we've won the platinum pick in Snowboarder the last 2 yrs and Future snowboarding FSN top picks. These mags test boards for weeks! We believe our customer testimonials mean as much or more than any award. By the way Shay, I worked The BC Swap(we killed it by the way) and a woman named Michelle came back the second day and purchased an Infinity on your recommendation.Thanks for that!

Shay, I do have to give credit to the board manufacturers for at least bringing to market more high quality wide boards in recent years. I remember riding when it was a fat bob or nothing! Then it was the risers which totally sucked. Every step for us big footed people out there is a big one in the right direction

JT, it would be rad with more indepth testing but I would guess it would be so much more costly and much more difficult. 153 models between 20 something testers within a period of 5 days, is rough. A whole season of testing would be insane, a job and i doubt it would ever happen with that many board models and riders. Reviews in themselves are just a starting off point, no list or reviews should be final other than your own opinion on the board you ride. If you love it, no test can tell you differently.

Lis, definitely big footed riders are still getting some of the shaft when it comes to reviews, tests and just finding boards for you guys.

Allie, Thanks! Appreciate all the good words. I already did review your 2010 malolo right before you bought it :)

One thing that always irked me about the good wood and other magazine board tests like it is that they never do a section specifically on wide boards. As a big footed guy that's the info i'm interested in. I know the majority of wide boards are counterparts to the regular width decks, but they rarely ride exactly the same. On a different note, I totally agree about riding time making a real difference in how much you like a board. When I first switched to my Flag a couple of seasons ago from my Yukon the first 5-10 runs I was begging for the old ride. By the end of the day though I was totally in love with the flag and already had mentally out the Yukon for sale on craigslist!
