At Once “High Life” Premiere in Denver

The snowboard film premiere season is well underway in Colorado and with temperatures dropping the snowboarders are coming out to get stoked on the upcoming season.

Last night in Denver was the At Once Productions “High Life” and Echo Mountain “Echodemic Volume 2” Premiere at the Gothic Theatre.  These are the local Colorado films with local riders who are pumped to be showcased and are actually at the premiere with friends.

With Echo Mountain as a sponsor, the first 100 people to the premiere received a free day pass to Echo Mountain.  I haven’t been to Echo Mountain yet, so now with a free ticket I’m looking forward to hitting up the terrain park resort here in CO.

We had a good crew of people to watch the film together.  Once inside we made our way to the bar to get the drinks for the night.

The evening started with Gag’s being the MC

Echo Mountain’s “Echodemic” opened the show with a mix of skiers and riders throwing down at the features that Echo Mountain has throughout the season.

After the “Echodemic” premiere, we had a live performance, not my cup of tea and I ended up just hanging out with friends waiting for it to be over.  It was a good time to cool off near the front doors.

Plenty of free swag was thrown out to the crowd throughout the evening as people leapt off chairs to win Hoodies/hats/gloves.  There were a couple raffle giveaways for a 686 Kit and Echo Season Pass, plus 2 giveaways for Never Summer snowboards.

Finally the “High Life” film began, getting everyone pumped on the shots of riding from around Colorado and some contests from other regions.  The film did have some technical difficulties during Cooper’s part which was a bummer but they were able to get it fixed and show the complete film.

It’s getting rarer and rarer to see actual resorts in snowboarding but I enjoy seeing them because it’s features anyone could hit.  Plus it gives it the local feel, your local mountains making the film and those powder days are within your reach.

My favorite feature in the film was this concrete dance box that they played with.

After the premiere we went to the bar next door to hang out, have some drinks and end the evening on a fun note.

The Utah boys made it out! Ryan, Dan and myself

It was the first premiere of the season for me, definitely a great start and stoked to see what the bigger films offer but also good to support the local films that work hard to stoke us locally.
