After a very fun and relaxing weekend in Silverton, I had to say goodbye and start the journey back to Steamboat. Luckily for me, I encountered no cops on the drive back and sped my way back to Summit County just in time for some afternoon shredding at Keystone.
I made a couple calls on the drive and found one person who was up for a couple laps with me. Good ole Zac from Hybrid Sessions was up for the challenge and met me at the mountain. I haggardly got dressed in the parking lot and we made our way up the mountain just as the crowds were coming off the mountain.
All these photos are courtesy of my phone since I got dressed so quick I left a camera in the car. I’ll paint the picture for you though, it was cold and icy groomers. The park had a good collection of features but the 3 boxes that were “shay” level were closed off so we made a couple laps and called it a night just in time for him to drive to Denver and me to drive to Steamboat.
I’ll make my way back to night ride at Keystone again and hit up the mountain during the day later this season. I’m now back in Steamboat and looking forward to riding my home mountain since we got new snow while I was gone.

i was there too! haha. left at like 3:30 though. and that’s zac?!?!?! where’s his hair and stache?
those boxes were closed off when we left, surprised to hear that they were still closed.. wtf!

Yeah I was bummed on the boxes, they were the only ones I could ride and it sucked the one day I could ride there…they were closed off for no apparent reason.

Yeah it wasn’t my favorite night of riding I’ve had there especially with 3 features closed off.
