Silverton bound!
23 Dec, 2009
I’ve always wanted to go to southern Colorado but never had the opportunity, that is until this week! Over the last week my Christmas plans changed causing me to scramble but luckily another family has let me into their Christmas which just so happens to be in Silverton, Colorado.
So tonight I’ll make the trek to Summit County, stay overnight with friends and then drive down during the daylight on Thursday to Silverton where I’ll meet up with the Coleman family for Christmas Eve and Christmas weekend. I’m packing my two biggest boards right now, Burton Malolo and Never Summer prototype for the adventure and it looks like I might enjoy a pow day when I’m there.

I’m unsure of the plan but it looks like Silverton is still unguided skiing and riding right now so I’m packing my shovel, probe and will need to rent a beacon while I’m down there. There’s also hope of hitting Telluride for one day and if the drive home to Steamboat allows, I might stop at another mountain on the way back.
So I wish everyone a Happy Holidays and I”ll be updating the blog as I can (but be prepared I might take this weekend off and update the blog when I get home).
