Sneak Peak: Venture Snowboards 2011

When you venture to Southern Colorado, there’s one company that’s predominantly the brand of choice and that’s Venture Snowboards based out of Silverton, Colorado.  With their backcountry/big mountain focus they fit right into the steep peak surroundings and through their own factory they create environmentally friendly boards based on superior performance.

For 10-11 they continue to say that splitboarding is the answer and offer all of their models as solid or split choices, they embrace the rocker movement by offering rocker on all models and continue their environmental commitment with a pine-based bio epoxy and Forest Stewardship Council certified woodcores for each of their boards.

Looks like just new top sheets, and maybe a slightly tweaked nose on the Storm (looks similar to this years but hard to tell as it’s just a photoshop image above)?

Sorry the images aren’t the best, SIA you’ll see them up close and much better (hence the sneak peak).

Good catch on the Storm, it did get a surf inspired nose and it’s a bit stiffer in the nose and tail for 10-11.

Pretty rad for companies to be doing the splitboard things these past few years. I hope more people check out venture and get into the backcountry safely for some big fun.

Venture Storm looks great… but I think if I had to go to a split board it will be now Jones Solution … with Mag on it in case there is icy spots once a while…

But for sure… Venture Storm must be a good board!
