Steamboat 1/8/10

I spent Friday morning getting some work done for the mountain with our park crew and luckily with friends arriving in town I was able to call it a day at noon so I could meet up and ride with them for the rest of the day.  Friday was cold temperatures in Steamboat but bluebird skies and really nice out on the mountain.

The Zumiez 100K is next week so a bunch of industry people rolled into Steamboat to spend a couple days before the event shredding and having fun.  I was invited to join in with them so I could finally put faces to names and meet new people.

Trent Bush came up and I finally got to snowboard with him on the mountain.

We ended up lapping the mountain for a couple tree and leftover powder runs before heading into Ragnar’s for lunch on the mountain with everyone.

We called it a day and later went out for drinks at Tugboat to start off the weekend of fun.

It’s definitely the beginning of a fun weekend and a good way to enjoy the mountain with new people.
