Seattle Twitter Giveaway Completed!

Today was the Seattle Twitter Giveaway which is the 4th city I’ve been able to giveaway a snowboard in.  I started putting clues out at 3pm on twitter that would help people try to track me down in order to win an 09-10 Signal Omni.

Despite growing up near Seattle, I thought I would know where to giveaway the snowboard but when my mom guessed my location last night I knew I needed to change it up.  I went to coffee with my accomplice Anj to deliberate and we didn’t pick a spot until about 20 minutes before it began.

I started to tweet out clues at 3pm today hoping that despite being a Monday people would be able to miss traffic to find me first.  The clues were:

1.  I’m east of I-5 and north of I-90

2.  From the neighborhood I’m in, I can see the Space Needle.

3.  I can see water but I can’t touch it.

4.  I’m at a location that’s known for history, culture and diversity.

Normally it takes 5 clues for people to find me since the 5th clue says the exact location but I was found within minutes of the 4th clue by Alex who rode up on his bike to win the Signal Omni snowboard and high 5’d me first.  Alex lived nearby and knew rightaway that it was Volunteer Park but didn’t see us until the 4th clue (I tend to move around until the 3rd or 4th clue).  Congrats to Alex for winning the board and hope he gets to enjoy it this winter!

The best part about doing the giveaways is having some fun while putting out clues and waiting for people to show up.  Anj and I had fun for the entire day but visiting the park was a blast for getting some moments caught on film.

Thanks to everyone who participated and tried to find me!  It was a great day to be outside and stoked to share a giveaway with you guys in Seattle!  Thanks to Signal for allowing me to giveaway the snowboard!

are you suggesting it was rigged?

    Congrats Alex!

Martin, yep I saw her twitter saying she was trying to find me too. Its hard to figure out who is actually trying unless they @ reply me back on twitter that day. Bummer she didn’t get to me first!

A, definitely not rigged. I intentionally don’t know where i’ll be until probably 20 minutes before the contest starts (or after)…none of my friends know except the person with me and both of us don’t answer calls/texts during the contest. So whoever finds me first wins!
