Timberline & Windells Camp 6/12/10

12 Jun, 2010

In my 27 years of being on earth, I can truly say that today was the best birthday I’ve ever had.  Unforgettable and amazing!  Just like any other day at Windells Camp I woke up, made it in time for breakfast, packed my lunch and then carpooled up to the mountain with Windells ski coach Dania.

Warm up laps with Dania to start a beautiful day right

I spent the day with the adult campers hitting the mini features in the morning and then the bag jump for the afternoon.  I finally got back to jumping today and it felt really good.  I still have a lot of work on the boxes but it was just such a fun day lapping park, getting tricks and feeling good.  The impromptu Birthday song in the tow rope line was fun as well, everyone had Birthday wishes and it made my day so great to be around fun people snowboarding.  I ended the day with hitting the bag jump at Windells for the first and second time, the first time I just straight aired it and the second time trying out the lein air grab (my favorite).

Today’s contest on the mountain was with Nick and Moss from Arbor Snowboards who gave away a brand new Arbor for best tweak off the jumps.  Tons of riders hit the jumps, getting their grabs and tweaking them out.

Today I followed adult camper Chris and caught him on film to get his Windells experience for the Windells Blog.  Check out Chris as Camper of the Day!

and eventually crashing which was hilarious

It truly was an amazing birthday and session 1 has been a blast!  Can’t wait for session 2 to begin and even more fun at Windells Camp!  If you are remotely near Oregon, come shred Timberline this summer or come to Windells Camp!
