Timberline & Windells Camp 7/29/10

Most of this summer has been early morning breakfast and then heading straight to the mountain for a full day of shredding but then there are days like today where after breakfast at camp, you fall back to sleep for a couple hours before heading to the mountain.  It definitely helps make the day better with extra much needed sleep and skipping the busy lift line time on the slopes.

The girls at Windells have been amazing this summer, there are so many rad skier, skate and snowboarder girls here and hanging out with them has made my summer.  Today I rode up with Izzy and Dania for some girl shred time before we split up on the mountain.

For warm up in the morning, Izzy and I lapped through the Windells park and did Palmer chairlift laps so she could hit the top jump with the pole.  Here’s her 180 midway off the jump.

One of the rad things about Hood in the summer is the companies with a presence out here.  Flow Snowboarding is in town right now and Mark  Liscak was on deck to get some footy at Windells.

For the afternoon I got to follow Camper of the Day Cody who was in ski coaches Jeff’s group.  I watched this 17 year old stomp an unnatural misty seven on his first try and he did it again clean.  It’s rad to see these kids come to camp and dial in tricks so quickly.

For the afternoon, I headed down to the halfpipe which was so much fun.  Cranked the tunes, watched the other riders and just had a blast hiking pipe and getting in runs.
