A new way to Snowboard Colorado

There’s a new way to enjoy snowboarding in Colorado this winter with the introduction of Snowboard Colorado Magazine hitting the local shops.  The magazine just enjoyed their inaugural issue with a launch party in Colorado to introduce the magazine to the Colorado scene.  Now every month from September to May you can pick up an issue for free and scout out the latest riders, resorts and products.

For the first issue, Colorado rider Erik Van Assche snags the coveted cover shot and riders are shown throughout the magazine in backcountry to urban locations around Colorado with photography by Terry Ratzlaff.  Articles focus on the latest snowboard films, backcountry riding with Chad Otterstrom, backcountry awareness, resort renovations, interviews with reps to  local and big name pros and product showcases.

The best part about the beginning is seeing the improvements progress as the magazine continues on with more articles, riders and photography that showcases the Colorado lifestyle in snowboarding.  Despite no longer living in Colorado, I’m glad to have my part in the magazine and look forward to seeing what’s next for them.

If you’ve gotten your hands on the Snowboard Colorado Magazine, what do you think so far?

Great question Anita, right now it’s available around Colorado but on their website there is a magazine locator you can use. My bet is you’ll probably have to snag one when you come out to Beaver Creek in Jan.

I picked up a copy when I was at Colorado Ski and Golf for Ski Rex. I’ve read the thing a few times and it’s nice to read about Colorado riders and locals around the state, also the photography is amazing from front to back!
