Mammoth 12/20/10

All in a day’s work.  Today was the craziest day for snowfall, it buried my truck in the parking lot and even I was amazed to get it out.  Then I couldn’t drive to work due to chain restrictions so left the truck in the village and caught the shuttle to the mountain.  That was an adventure in itself but eventually made it to work.  Of course working in marketing means sometimes having to showcase the latest conditions…which I gladly offer my services for.  My good friend Ashley feels the same way so we get to test out conditions to make sure they are reported accurately.

Ashley and I ended up hiking up in knee to waist deep powder because the lifts in front of Main weren’t running yet and rode the new pow for the cameras.  It was actually a blast because I got outside when it was an insanely busy day in the office and got to enjoy some of the powder.

I guess the footage was sent out to news so if you saw a snowboarder in powder at Mammoth – it was me.   Brad Peatross who is one of the photographers got a couple shots and let me post this one up on here – thanks Brad!  It’s rad to have a picture of myself snowboarding in the powder

After the adventure of getting to work, getting home was another one in itself.  Cars were buried from all the new snow but luckily a shovel and a couple hands helped dig out Katy’s subaru which gave me a ride home.

Love your blog! What kind of jacket is that in the first photo? Great shots, thanks.

    Bonnie,

The jacket that Ashley is wearing is last year’s Roxy Glider Jacket.
