K2 Snowboards 2011-2012

Established in 1987, K2 Snowboards not only has a history in snowboarding but they’ve also adapted to the future of snowboarding by building up their snowboard technology.  They’ve focused on the progression of snowboarding through their snowboards and introduced concepts for all types of riders.  K2 continues to offer multiple baseline profiles:  flatline, catch free rocker, jib rocker, all terrain rocker and pow rocker.

Last year K2 introduced Bambooyah in their fastplant snowboard and this year bambooyah spreads into the protohype, panoramic splitboard, slayblade and wolfpack.  For 2012, K2 continues to offer up snowboards for regular and wide footed riders, baseline profiles depending on the style of riding and technology like harshmellow, ollie bar, carbon web and more.

K2 Panoramic

The panoramic is your ticket to the drop out and hike out mind set.  Three years in the making, our developers brought it all to this lightweight, bambooyah cored backcountry tool.  Features all terrain rocker, standard damping, hybrilight construction, hyper progressive shape, setback 1″, bambooyah blend core, triax ICG 20, carbon web II, 4000 sintered.

K2 Protohype

    I am glad I got this year’s K2 board, because the 2012 graphics are utterly ugly. Thanks god at least the boards are great.
