Mammoth 4/14/11

It’s been an interesting April week for weather in Mammoth.  Started out sunny and warm, turned into full blown winter and windy then back to sunny and windy.  I’ve been anxious to spend more time on the Endeavor color so hit the slopes for a lunch break and shred sesh over by Canyon Lodge today.

This year at Mammoth has been amazing for snowfall.  Record breaking snowfall and tons of snow, about 52 feet of snowfall total and the base depth is 14-24 feet depending where you are on the mountain.  Insane!  I took this picture today laughing at the snow now equal with the lodge and the steps you used to walk up to, are gone.

Art Park and Canyon Lodge areas were fun.  Hard to believe next week this part of the mountain will close so trying to ride it as much as possible.
