Facemask Friday: Pom Pom

When it comes to keeping your face warm on the mountain, facemasks do the job.  On the deep powder days, they keep you from breathing in the snow.  On the sunny days, they keep you from getting burnt.  On windy days, they keep your face from going numb.  Gone are the days that you have to wear a basic black mask and look like a bank robber, now plenty of companies offer bandanas, tubes, balaclava’s in an assortment of designs and colors.

Today is the eighth Facemask Friday of many!  Facemask Friday is my new contest to give you guys rad facemasks to wear on the mountain!  Check back every Friday I’ll be giving away a facemask in a different brand/design/style.  To enter the contest, read the directions below and leave your comment by midnight tonight.  I’ll announce the winner in this post tomorrow morning.

About the Facemask:
2-Ply Neck Tubes are designed with the help of team riders Raewyn Reid and Robin Van Gyn, These slouchy neck tubes are perfect for the not-too-cold weather. The outside features dry-tec® moisture wicking fabric and the inside is lined with super breathable fabric. Protects you from the wind while also keeping your face dry. Perfect for the winter bike rides too.

Steps to win the Pom-Pom Facemask:

1.  Answer this question in your comment (make sure to use your correct email address):  Pom Pom has a motto of “ride with your friends” so tell us who is your favorite person to ride with and one reason why?

2.  You have till midnight tonight, May 6th to enter for this facemask.

3.  All the correct answer comments will be written down and one winner will be randomly drawn from a bowl or kitchen pot ( you know like the lottery).

4.  A winner will be announced in this blog post after midnight.  I like to sleep so I will probably will pick a winner tomorrow morning.

Heff……. aka Aaron is my riding partner in crime. I’ve been riding with this dude since I first picked up a snowboard almost 13 years ago. We’ve shared some GREAT laughs, falls, and frustrations. Still to this day, we rip together!

My favorite person to shred with is my homie zachary because he is the f*cking man! He is the perfect amount of better at shredding than me which helps me push myself to throw more hammers! Also he is the perfect amount of better at shredding than me so I can still throw some hammers that impress him and makes him want to push himself more! It’s god damn awesome!!

Unfortunately this year while shredding on a ‘meh’ day and pushing each others limits he did a bonk bs 360 off a tree, sketched out a bit, ran into another tree and broke his tailbone. End of season type dealio. I did a bonk bs 180 off a tree at the same time and stomped it 🙂

So thats another reason he is my favorite shred buddy, he shows me what not to do hah
