DC Snowboards 2011-2012

Four years ago, DC introduced snowboards to their collection and they continue to step up the technology, design and materials that define their snowboards.  Inspiration for this winter’s DC snowboard line comes directly from the snow team’s needs and DC’s history in skateboarding.

For 2012, DC introduces the Ply snowboardsthat have a skate twin geometry, lock and load camber and flexalite construction. For camber/anti-camber options, the anti-camber (flat between your stance and curved from the snow outside the stance) ranges from -2mm to -6mm depending on the model and traditional camber is available on two models for those seeking stability and control. To help determine what board works better for riders, DC identifies the flex, maneuverability and camber on a scale.

DC Devun

The award winning Devun Pro series represents the pinnacle of DC’s snowboard line.  It’s true twin tip shape with 2mm anti-camber makes it a fun and forgiving, yet stable and powerful board that can handle anything in it’s way.  This years graphics are inspired by native Northwestart found near Devun’s home in the mountains of BC.  This iconic art style translates to his graphic with real maple hardwood veneer, laser etching detail and laser of printing.  Features slugger core, camber core, radius2flat, 7200 sintered supreme, anti-camber, carbon quadrax, structurn base.  Flex=7.5.  Maneuverability=8.5.  Camber=-2

DC MLF Ikka Pro

Based off the team favorite MLF and tweaked to fit Ikka’s smooth and powerful riding style, the Ikka Pro is designed to ride anywhere on the mountain and everywhere in the world.  This true twin board with traditional camber gives Ikka the added response and pop he needs. This year we added a new 158 size.  Features impact core, radius2flat, 7200 sintered supreme, carbon quadrax, structurn base, traditional camber.  Flex=7. Maneuverability=7.5. Camber=6.

DC Lauri Pro Tone

Based off our most versatile board, the Tone, the Lauri Pro strikes the perfect balance of flex and stability for all conditions.  This year we’ve added a new park friendly 153cm size.  Features stratus core, camber core, radius2flat, true base, quadrax, structurn base, anti-camber.  Flex=7. DC Ply

All new for winter 12, the Ply is designed to ride like a skateboard on the snow.  A true twin under foot with unique nose and tail shapes, this board will bring out the street skater in all of us.  With a diverse collection of graphics that have tons of personality just like the team riders that endorse it.  Features stratus core, flexalite tip, radius2flat, true base, 6420 biax, structurn base, lock and load. DC PBJ

For the park rat inside all of us, the PBJ is the original Park Board for jibbing.  The soft flex and 6mm anti-camber make it loose and playful, with enough sidecut to get around quickly and make the entire mountain a playground.  Features astro core, camber core, radius2flat, true base, 6420 biax, anti-camber, structurn base.  Flex=5.  Maneuverability=5. DC Tone

Our most versatile board ever, with new mid-wide sizes for winter 12, the Transworld Snowboarding Good Wood award winning Tone is the one snowboard that can ensure epic riding sessions every time.  Its anti-camber profile floats effortlessly in powder, while the structurn base keeps you cruising in slush and ice and the camber core holds it down in the park.  Features stratus core, camber core, radius2flat, true base, quadrax, structurn base, anti-camber.  Flex=7. DC Focus

All new for winter 12, the Focus is a soft flexing, true twin board.  We gave it a 6mm anti-camber to make it a playful and forgiving and topped it off with athletic inspired graphics making it the perfect board for all levels of riders.  Features astro core, camber core, radius2flat, true base, 6420 biax, anti-camber, structurn base.  Flex=5. DC MLF

The MLF is the board of choice for team riders including Lonnie Kauk and Ryan Tiene because it delivers in all conditions.  Based off a tried and true traditional camber we’ve added our impact core and carbon quadrax laminate for pop and durability.  We finish it off with a sintered supreme optic base with a structurn base finish to give it gap clearning speed.  Features impact core, radius2flat, 7200 sintered supreme, carbon quadrax, structurn base, traditional camber.  Flex=7.  Maneuverability=7.5. DC Women’s Ply

We took the same team driven approach in building the women’s Ply and enlisted female riders Raewyn Reid and Kimmy Fasani to help develop women specific sizes and flex.  Just like the men’s version we added a fun collage of graphics but gave them a fun, playful and colorful twist for the ladies.  Features stratus core, flexalite tip, radius2flat, true base, 6420 biax, structurn base, lock and load.  Flex=6.  Maneuverability=7. Camber=5.

DC Women’s Biddy

The award winning Biddy is our most versatile board for women.  The anti-camber profile with radius to flat allows this board to go anywhere on the mountain, while the biax fiberglass and camber core give it a smooth and responsive feeling.  Features astro core, camber core, radius2flat, 6420 biax, anti-camber, true base.  Flex=5.
