Burton doing better and better since 3 years in my opinion (certainly a leader, specially in the marketing )… They have now better boots, bindings (Malavita 2012 re flex) and so on… Squeezeboxe should be the way to go as well…
I prefer Vario grip, Magne-traction and so on…
but they just need better Edges for Icy spot… like others companies…
Since I am in East Coast Montreal (Burlington is East Coast) they should know How it is important here, Holding on Edges… If they can create a better technology on Edges in the future, I will be fan again of their wood (snowboard) but for now again in 2012 they just do good soft gear (Clothing, gadget), Boots and bindings

Ian, I think the one big change is Squeezebox construction where you should have more pop and stabilities… I rode this construction on a Nug 146cm and I was impressing even if frostbite is still not perfect for Icy spot, the global feeling of Squeezebox helps a lot Burton approach in there Hard goods in my opinion.

I had the chance to ride the Social Restricted 142, the Lipstick 145, the late release lipstick 145 (which is a flat camber version of the lipstick), and the Nugget 134 this summer. I’m super stoked on the women’s boards this year. They were all really fun to ride. I really liked the social on jumps and rails, but didn’t get much power in the pipe. Out of the lipsticks I preferred the late release, which was incredibly easy to hold presses on and saved me multiple times when I thought I was going to loose control mobbing down the hill. The late release held up pretty good in pipe as well so I’m going to say that out of the women’s line that I rode, the late release lipstick was my favorite, though I wish they’d make it in a 143
