Last year I believe it was almost January before the pipe was completed. This year it’s November and the Mammoth 22′ pipe opened today, a whole month before last season. It helped make the mountain look a little bit more like winter but we still need more snow to make for a total winter experience. I headed out on my ride break so I could lap the mountain, freeride and get in some pipe runs with Pat Stahl and his friends for some fun laps on the mountain.
We lapped through park, which has a bunch of features and hopefully more park opening this week. I cannot wait for Forest Trail to open, it’s my favorite on the mountain.
