After a record breaking season, it’s no surprise that a lack of snow could be a possibility and that’s certainly the case with Mammoth Mountain right now. The conditions are early season limited runs with hardpacked snow but luckily the park is on-par. It just means sleeping in a little bit longer and hoping the snow will soften up by the time you get up. I headed up to the mountain for a session with the skier and to get in some park laps on the Wasteland.

I’ve been testing out the Arbor Wasteland in the park this week. This was a reader request, so make sure you tell me what you want me to ride.
Most of the day I lapped through Forest Trail park or spent time with the skier in Main Park to get shots of him. Here’s my favorite with the classic Mammoth view in the background.
