Stepchild Snowboards 2012-2013

After 11 years Stepchild Snowboards is still an independent brand with the heart and soul of riders involved behind it.  With team riders Joe Sexton, Simon Chamberlain and JP Walker holding it down on Stepchild boards, it’s no surprise they’ve secured a place in snowboarding with park/urban destroyers and hilarious graphics.

Stepchild Snowboards continues to offer a range of technology in their snowboards.  The constructions range from armorcore (ABS/poplar wood core with glue injection), Kicker I core (poplar wood core), Kicker II core (poplar wood core with beech rails), Kicker III core (poplar wood core with beech rails and beech insert strips) Bamboo Kicker Core (poplar wood core with beech power rails and tip to tail bamboo insert strips).  Stepchild has reverse camber, camber or zero camber options.  For the park destroyers, Stepchild uses RETT (predulled edges between the bindings), park formula sidewall (impact absorption), snag free bases (no die cuts or joints in the base material which is usually how the board will snag) and armadillo plates (strengthens the board around the inserts without interupting the flex pattern).
