SIA 2013: Day 1
01 Feb, 2013
The snow industry is back in Denver for the SIA Tradeshow! This is where the next year’s gear is released and many of the buyers, media and industry flock to Denver to check it out while having a good time. My plan for the first day was to enjoy the show without being rushed like previous years, I didn’t make as many appointments so I was able to have a more relaxed day while checking out gear and catching up with friends. Day 1 is only the beginning so here’s a sneak peek at some of the 2013/14 gear you can expect to see in shops and on shelves next season.
Myself with Pepa from Salt N Pepa who was at the Burton booth on Day 1.
Forget making a snowboard that becomes a splitboard. Jones Snowboards is now making skis that are a snowboard making for a better built and designed splitboard capable of skiing and riding.

Brooke Geery runs the always awesome Yobeat.com and is coming out with Yoamerica video next season. It’s pretty rad to see them take their website to the next level and stay on the Yobeat style with a film.

After the show it was time for drinks and a quick bite with the Nightmare crew before heading to the 686 Boxing night. After watching it last SIA, I knew this year would be even better and it really was. Thanks to 686 for putting on a good show, seriously made my year.
