SIA 2013 On-Snow Demo: Day 1

06 Feb, 2013

After a couple days of SIA, it was time to stop checking out the gear and try it on the slopes at Winter Park. I carpooled out for the day with the girls so we could check out gear and lap the mountain for the day. Despite some cold on-snow’s in previous years, this year delivered with a fun day with warmer temps and good conditions. Stay tuned, all the boards below will be reviewed on over the next couple weeks.

First run of the day with Dan Scherman looking out over Winter Park

I ended up riding the Lib Tech Trice Pro with Roxy Torah Bright bindings, Signal Jake OE with Signal/Flux collab bindings, Capita Ultrafear FK with Union Force bindings, Slash Paxson with NOW bindings, Rome Gold with Rome Madison Boss bindings, Ride Hellcat with Ride DVA bindings. I also tried out the Smith and Von Zipper goggles.

I carpooled out with Emily Blewitt and Michelle Zeller for the day and we definitely got in our laps. Probably the funniest moment was Emily taking out a board with the wrong stance which was too wide for her…the end result was a really funny run.
