Sierra at Tahoe 2/27/13

02 Mar, 2013

It’s been a busy last couple days of traveling but I finally made it to Lake Tahoe! It’s good to be back to return to the Snowcial Conference. My first stop was Sierra at Tahoe where I could spend the day lapping the mountain and getting my snowboard feet back under me. I have two friends that work at Sierra in marketing so it was good to catch up and see them for the day.

Since it was midweek, there were no lines and I was able to just cruise around exploring until Steve was able to join me for laps at the end of the day. The conditions were hardpacked but definitely a deep base from the earlier snow that Tahoe had received.

All smiles at the top of the mountain. It was a funny day of lapping.

Towards the end of the day, Steven Hemphill joined me for a couple laps. He runs the PR at Sierra at Tahoe and is a super fun guy to be around. I tried to capture him on camera but he’s so dang fast unless he’s on a rail.

Ended the afternoon with a much needed happy hour sushi stop before heading to Snowcial to check in for the conference. Good way to start the Lake Tahoe portion of my trip.
