The mountains we love…

22 Apr, 2013

For many of us, the mountains are our homes, our playgrounds and our lives. Unfortunately, the mountains we love can take us at any moment. For the second time in my life, the mountains have taken an incredible person who shared a passion for snowsports, the industry and everyone around them. I’m at a loss. It’s heart breaking. It’s unfortunate.

Rest in Peace Joe Timlin

Last summer I interviewed Joe for the Industry Profiles series. Here are my favorite parts from the interview with Joe. You can read the full interview here.

Shay: How has snowboarding changed your life?
Joe: Snowboarding was not just an activity for weekends, It became my lifestyle and more literally, my Life.

Shay: What advice would you give to people wanting to work in the industry?
Joe: Remember why you got into this. It’s for the riding and sharing this life. I could still be grinding away in a shop riding ever single day and be just as happy as I am now standing on my soap box. When you are living the life you want to live, it is pretty amazing how things can fall into place.
