Every couple years I enjoy a good road trip because it allows me to visit a bunch of people on one trip but also it lets me really think about my life. I could lie on a beach in Hawaii drinking Corona but that never has the same effect as being forced to endure long [...]

Shay Update: Roadtrip!
March 12th, 2010Steamboat 3/6/10
March 6th, 2010It was another warm sunny slushy day on the mountain so I took my morning to run errands in town before heading up to the slopes. The park was calling my name and even though I was riding alone, I wanted to step up my riding today.
I was lucky to catch up with Sonny for [...]

March 2nd, 2010Yesterday afternoon, the riders came out to throw down in the first ever Two Rails One Cup Rail Jam in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It started at 4pm but I wasn’t able to make my way down till 5pm to check it out. The riders were a mix of local Steamboat Springs and nearby Summit County [...]

Steamboat 12/21/10
January 21st, 2010You know it’s a rough week when you might not even get outside to enjoy the snow during the week, unfortunately that was me this week. Say hi to Mike…he’s the behind the [...]
Buffalo Pass 1/10/10
January 10th, 2010After yesterday’s amazing riding at Buffalo Pass, it wasn’t a hard decision to go back there today for more snowboarding. Despite a late night out, some of us rallied this morning with much needed coffee and made it back to the sleds for more powder turns. We had less people and ended up being more [...]

January 9th, 2010Just outside of Steamboat is Buffalo Pass which offers ideal sledding access and some amazing snowboarding terrain if you have a sled. I don’t have a sled so getting out to Buff has never happened but with the crew in town we were able to borrow sleds to enjoy some powder riding on Buff Pass.
I [...]
Keystone 12/27/09
December 27th, 2009After a very fun and relaxing weekend in Silverton, I had to say goodbye and start the journey back to Steamboat. Luckily for me, I encountered no cops on the drive back and sped my way back to Summit County just in time for some afternoon shredding at Keystone.
I made a couple calls on the [...]
Silverton 12/26/09
December 26th, 2009I have heard many stories of Silverton Mountain as its the only mountain in Colorado that offers a backcountry experience whether unguided or guided. It’s not a resort because the only lines you’ll encounter are the ones you make on the mountain and with only one chairlift most of the mountain is earn your turns. [...]
