I definitely see your point, but I wonder how many professional snowboarders are even able to get insurance.  I wonder how many insurance companies willingly insure athletes that are not making insane bucks.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I agree with Jim, what&#039;s done is done.  Not every pro rider has insurance and he needs help.  I can afford to help out because if I didn&#039;t have insurance and i needed it, I&#039;d appreciate it.  It&#039;s entirely up to you to help out and donate.]]></description>

I&#039;m glad he&#039;s ok, because i&#039;ve had my fair share of injuries, but to ask other people to pay for someone else&#039;s clear lack of judgement is absurd. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If I lost health insurance even for a day I would stop riding until it was resolved. I&#039;m still paying my $2500 out of pocket max for my own injury, WITH insurance!]]></description>

I donated what money I could right now to help out.]]></description>
