I had the same problem with their boards as vaihalen! last year my fun.kink cracked during a day of not-very-hard riding where you’d never expect a board to take any damage. The crack even went along the line of the tbt and they didn’t accept it for warranty. After a lot of complaining they offered me a board for half price so i bought an airobic, hoping it’d work out better this time. Sadly about a week ago that airobic’s tail completely snapped on a frontflip that came up short. I’m not sure how much it had to do with probably landing in a bad angle or so this time, but still i’ve never snapped a board before bataleon! They never even responded to the complaint i wrote after that.
I’m done with Bataleon for sure, even though the TBT is definitely awesome technology, i can’t buy a new board every season.

I must retract my last post. Bataleon have agreed to give my mate a new board as a gesture of goodwill for buying their brand… My mate called Bataleon direct to avoid the useless staff at TSA tamworth ( who only know what they read on the spec sheets, but have no idea what it means .. lol). To be fair my mate said Bataleon were helpfull and had no problems dealing direct. Anyone else had to deal with customer service or warranty claims etc… If so what were your experiances with them?As I believe this is a huge put of choosing your brand and board…

I have an ET classic and it rides great on dryslopes…. but on snow it washes. My mate has a goliath and the tail snapped after 5 hours use. He didnt even ride it hard. He’s now fighting a warranty because the board was obviously weak when he bought it. When in TSA they had a Bataleon for £699 and it had a large ding in the topsheet, obviously from the factory. All the boards in the shop had the official Bataleon stickers on them but some had the wrong specs wrote. Bataleon are dreadfull for quality control and then try to avoid warraty claims when its their fault.
I was a fan of Bataleon until I found out what their customer service is like and how poor the quality is.

Here’s the response from Bataleon. It’s basically an upgraded version so usually materials cost more when they switch it to lighter. more expensive materials.

“The Enemy in 1011 is basically a fine-tuned version of the 0910 Enemy. In our first year with the +++ series we were still perfecting some techniques…and the 1011 version is a reflection of that. The fastest, lightest board on the mountain.”

Do you know what accounts for the big price jump from the 2010 to 2011 enemy? The bataleon website isn’t very insightful and I haven’t found any reviews that talk about it.

Evil snow witch, had this question in the chatbox so answering it here. I asked Bataleon what the difference was and here’s their answer,

From Tyler at Bataleon,

“The Evil Twin Classic is the same shape we’ve had for the Evil Twin from day one.

Designed by Johnny Q, the new Evil Twin has a slightly narrower base (the classic almost rides like a mid-wide), new sizes (51, 54, 57 compared to 47, 51, 55, 59 in the Classic), a blunted tip and tail as well as increased angle on the Triple Base…giving it even more lift and pop.

We knew people loved the Classic ET shape so we did not want to get rid of it…but at the same time, we had all these ideas of what we wanted to do to improve the Evil Twin, which is why we kept the classic shape and created the all new Evil Twin.”
