Awesome to get some insight here. I haven’t met Kristin yet, but I’ll make it a point to say hey at SIA, or such. Keep up the great work Shay, profiles are always the best!

Shay is totally right, you need to put yourself out there at SIA. Go up to booths, ask to speak to marketing people or sales people, whatever your field of interest might be in. People are SUPER busy at SIA though, so be sure you have specific questions. A lot of the time, you’ll have to drop off a resume, but chat up the person handling the front – they might be an employee as well and they can give you advice and some direction. Another insider tip is to go to as many of the parties and events that you can. Our industry loves it’s parties and a lot of the time, you’ll be saddled up next to a head honcho at the bar and not even know it. Good luck to you!

Kayt, you are such a sweetie and I love you so much. Hell yeah Boston and Rob, F SC!

Thanks again for the interview Shay, hope you’re having fun at camp!

You’ll walk away with tons of business cards but if you can establish relationships at SIA it’s a true benefit of the show. Just checking it out and meeting people. I wouldn’t be where I’m at without SIA and the people I’ve met along the way like Kristin.

What would a guy like me do at SIA? Just go up to vendors and say whats up? I’m not really sure exactly what goes down there but you say it can be intimidating and intimidated I am. 🙂

Any SIA wisdom bombs you can drop on me are appreciated. Shay- you’ve been to SIA too, any wisdom bombs from you. Oh and good luck on ur MBA, the homework is a drag but I believe you are in a great position to appreciate the education and put it into action.
