I rode the Agent Rocker this weekend. I loved it. It rides very aggressive and the quick rip sidecut works well (dual radius). Rome did a great job. I like it better then Mervin’s magne traction because it is not too grippy and there is virtually no drag. But for strait up icy situations I prefer Mervin’s magna traction.

There was one situation where I was dropping off the face of Daves run (double diamond) in Mammoth and the heel edge did not hold on a icy spot and I slid down 40 yards with no control on my butt.

At times I feel the Rome Agent was a little catchy. The board was brand new when I rode it. I am thinking its because the edges very sharp from the factory. It needs break in and natural edge detuning.

Ben, definitely similiar boards in the all mountain freestyle category. SL-R has more dampness than the agent from what I remember. I’ll try to get on this year’s SL

On paper the Agent Rocker seems very similar to the SL-R. I know you didn’t demo this year’s SL, but how would you compare the ride of the Agent Rocker to prior years SL-R?

I think the unstable skating was because of the pure ice sheet at the top of chair 1
