I said I wouldn’t ride a board WITHOUT magnetraction. Which means I like it 🙂
I ride in Quebec so that would explain why.
Still shreddin hard at St-Sauveur until May 22nd!!

I am agree I am sceptical about hinge… looks like a bit of Relay of Salomon when they try to say to us that our heel cup needs to move when you ride… 😉
What I really believe is Canted foot bed… Since I ride wide duck style, I did test (demo) wedgies bed of Ride bindings and have to say that it is comfy a lot, especially when you ride wide stance… but for any gadget of heel cup will pass on that … 😉
For Magne-traction, not agree with you… of course I am base in East Cost and here there is so much Icy slope in the season that Magne-Traction is really helpful (I guess Vario Grip will be good too)

Wouldn’t that hinge just put extra wear on your boots? And I’ve already seen guys bust the heelcup off their baseplate on a Burton binding, wouldn’t this just create a worse spot for it to break?
Added pop? Where’s the energy transmission from binding to board if the binding moves laterally?
I’ll have to demo those hinged bindings to find out. I mean, I didn’t think I would like Magne-traction, now I won’t ride a board without it!
