One last opinion of you please: What do you think of the NS Heritage 160 vs Arcade UL 160?

plus I think is bit cheaper than the Raptor, but both look nice. Plus I saw on youtube that the Mountain deco picture of NS F1, 2012 is from Canadian Rockies (Alberta) 😉 a good year for me I guess since I went there too 😉

I’d go F1 if you’re not always balls out and enjoy the occasional cruise.

The things here in my short selection, is that, I am a huge fan of magne traction or at least something that grip solid on ice… (Since I am base in the Icy East Coast, Montreal)
Right now I do have Lib Lando 160, 2008… Very fun board with mag… But need a better base and true construction is important…And the cosmetic on Lib is not as tough as others… but fun board…
My test of the Ride Highlife 158cm 2011 was pretty good at Mont Tremblant… but at the time the slope was not too icy… I am just afraid that on Icy days, the Highlife will not be as good as (here a second selection) : NS Raptor 159 or F1 159 (vario grip should be good), Arbor Coda 158 or 161 (Quick Grip should be not bad too), Dark Series 161 or Smokin KT-22, 159 compare too Ride Highlife 161?

It’s not nearly as reactive as the Ride boards due to the sidecut and I find it pops dead. I haven’t ridden the Yes yet, but out here we go through them like hotcakes (4 boards a season is about the norm). Nidecker build is something I’m not convinced about. I don’t really want to blame it on poor standards at their Tunisian plant, but the skis that come out of their Swiss fab are generally solid.

Make senses a lot and confirm what I was thinking too regarding Ride Gear 😉
Of course there is a lot more others company to look at for 2012… But I know Higlife UL 161 is a machine for sure 😉 Like Yes pick your line 161 or even Rossi Experience 163 or Jones to names theses…

Fri, 10 Jun 2011 04:39:31 +0000http://www.shayboarder.com/?p=16533#comment-114353Go with the Highlife UL or the Berzerker. If you don’t do any park or pipe then you won’t gain anything with the Arcade and you lose float and stability in the backcountry (noticeable difference in chatter between 85A and 90A sidewalls). You can go either size, but if I were in your shoes I’d go for the 161 for added stability at speed.

Good to hear that … Because I had a dilemma between Highlife or Arcade for Ride 2012…
What size you will suggest for fun and big mountain situation in Arcade 157 or 160?
a Sizing that will compete againt Highlife 158 or 161…
I am 5’10” 175lbs… Boots 9US and like to go fast out of bound (I do no park) but I do like to play and Glades… Thanks

I’ve had an Arcade UL since March. The pop on it is ridiculous. I thought my DH2.x was popping big… no comparison. The Arcade is pretty stiff, stiffer than the old Society, but it’s so quick and scares me with how big it goes even on small rollers. I got ride of my DH2.4/5 after I got it as it does overlap quite a bit.
