Intended Purpose: Designed to be big sounds in a small package from the mountain to the city. The built-in microphone allows you to talk on the phone with the headphones. Sound: I’m not an expert on sound quality but the aerial 7’s have a clear sound to listen to while snowboarding and the ear gel buds it comes with blocks out most other sounds easily. Appearance: The sumo headphones come in a couple different colorways: blizzard, graffiti and candy. I have the graffiti color which is a bright mix of blue, orange, pink. At first I wasn’t sure about the colorway but I’ve warmed up to the brightness especially when it comes to finding the headphones in a pile of stuff or in my backpack. Ear Fit: I enjoy using ear buds when they don’t hurt my ears. So far Siege and now Aerial 7’s have good gel ear buds that work for my ears without hurting them. I’ve used the sumo headphones on long road trips to be able to talk on the phone while driving and I feel really comfortable with the gel ear buds. They have a mix of sizes they send you, so you can find […]

Intended Purpose: The Sony Cybershot is a compact digital camera that fits in the pocket easily and offers a variety of features beneficial to snowboarding. I bought the cybershot to replace my Casio Exilim camera which broke at Mt Hood this summer so since then the cybershot has been my main camera. It has a touchscreen and does the sweep panorama which makes awesome pictures come together easily. According to Sony the features are, “3” touch screen, “Exmor R” sensor, Sweep Panorama Mode, 10fps at full 10.2MP, Anti-Motion Blur / Handheld Twilight, HD movie mode (720p), Optical SteadyShot™, 9 Scene Detection iAuto mode, 4x optical zoom” Size: The cybershot is the perfect size for fitting in your pockets or snowboard pants. It’s dimensions are W x H x D: 93.8mm x 58.2mm x 16.5mm (3 3/4″ x 2 3/8″ x 21/32″) and weighs only 119g (4.2oz). It’s lightweight and easy to carry around if you take it out to the bars. I like the size so that I can hold it in my palm snowboarding, get some shots and then put it away quickly. Ease of Use: For the most part I charge the camera every couple days and this summer […]

Intended Purpose: The shredsoles are meant to give you support in your snowboard boots for snowboarding. I’ve worn my shredsoles in my Bonfire boots which help give them more support than the original insole that came in the boot. Appearance: Once they are in your boots you rarely see them, but the shred soles are a basic one color choice for all sizes. On the heel it says shred soles so you know the brand. Fit: I wear a size 8 snowboard boot and rock a size 8-8.5 shoe size normally. I’m using the size A shred sole which fits a women’s 7-8 and fits perfectly in my snowboard boot. I didn’t need to trim the insole to fit my boot. Features: Shredsoles feature an shwedge which helps realign ankles, knees and hips to a natural and balance riding posture. The dynarch gives you maximum arch support to minimize strain, the deep-well heel cup has firm high-riser sidewalls that help stabilize the heel and reduce friction from lateral foot movement. The heelplug is EVA which helps absorb shock giving added support and cushioning. The insole base on the shredsoles is durashred which helps the insole form to your feet after […]

Intended Purpose: The Remind insoles come in two versions, cush and thin. The thin are meant for more shoes and low impact like walking, the cush are ideal for higher impact activities like snowboarding. I’ve worn both in my snowboard boots and the cush are definitely more favorable for snowboarding. Appearance: This is one of my favorite things about Reminds insoles is that they don’t look like your typical insole of ugly plain colors. They have the artist collaboration series which feature a variety of local artists/riders on the insoles but you can also get the regular insole with the remind logo on them. Fit: I wear a size 8 snowboard boot and shoe so the size 8-8.5 insole is what I rock and it was a perfect fit into my snowboard boot. Usually I need to trim and adjust the insole to fit in, but these worked perfectly with no adjustments. The fit to my feet feels really comfortable and gives good arch support. Features: Remind insoles feature a moisture wicking fabric, highly durable rubberized foam, high grade gel, bladder construction. Remind focuses on giving riders an affordable insole that has the same benefits as a full custom orthotic […]
