Comment on Goggle Review: Smith I/OS by Michelle https://www.shayboarder.com/2013/03/goggle-review-smith-ios-2.html/comment-page-1#comment-780473 Mon, 12 May 2014 10:50:30 +0000 http://www.shayboarder.com/?p=24312#comment-780473 hi shay, the goggles look amazing! I was wondering if they would work as over glasses because unfortunately i am vision impaired 🙁

i have been considering buying some as i will be soon shredding down some mountains in new zealand and was wondering about your opinion.

my face is small and i too don’t have much of a bridge (sucks when you have glasses…) and the goggles im looking at are either the ios or io or iox( though i think iox will be too large)

thanks for your help, and good post!

Hi Mike! Awesome on buying your gf a new board. C2 will definitely be less squirrely and a lot more stable than the freestyle banana. Ollie Pop is a great choice, good all around board that she’ll grow with. I would get the 148cm for her since it suits her weight best for sizing. The 145cm is on the small size for her weight but would be easy to learn on since it would be so much smaller.

It’s a bit long for her and squirrely for me to hand it down to her. Looking at C2 with BTX, but unsure about size for her. She’s 5’7″ and 125lbs. Looking at the Ollie Pop in a 145 or 148. What you think? I”m sure they’re going to float and ride bigger than with the BTX, but not sure about size….thanks!

What type of Wax do you use on your board?
we have been selling our wax to a lot of boarders in Canada now and they love how easy it is to apply. I would love to help some boarders out with a sponsorship and try our product.

Comment on Snowboard Review: 12-13 GNU B-Pro C2 BTX by sarah https://www.shayboarder.com/2012/05/snowboard-review-12-13-gnu-b-pro-c2-btx.html/comment-page-1#comment-696240 Mon, 04 Nov 2013 12:04:54 +0000 http://www.shayboarder.com/?p=20865#comment-696240 I am a lightweight female rider, riding for 10 years, over the years and in order of owned, I have had a burton feather, burton feelgood, K2 Fling, Burton G-twin, Bataleon something with TBT, Never Summer Infinity 2011 , Never summer evo 2011/2012 (small mens), and now a roxy olli-pop from last year.
I just can’t seem to find something forgiving enough for my weight (8 stone. 5’6) so I can still pay in the park without too much effort BUT stable at speed. At the moment I have the pop but not the stability, I find the Roxy very unstable when riding fast, especially if conditions are choppy. I preferred by old feelgood for that. Am I just needing two boards? I was looking at the GNU B-Pro the problem is some people say it’s great at speed but has no pop. Do I look at a completely different brand of board and perhaps back to camber? Are my board choices too commercial. The problem I have is finding somewhere to demo them all that has them all in stock is a nightmare. I can’t seem to find the B-pro in the UK.
Thanks,

Comment on Snowboard Review: 12-13 K2 Highlite by Jen https://www.shayboarder.com/2012/04/snowboard-review-12-13-k2-highlite.html/comment-page-1#comment-678587 Wed, 16 Oct 2013 05:25:52 +0000 http://www.shayboarder.com/?p=20228#comment-678587 Hi Shay,

Love your reviews!!! I’m having some difficulty deciding between this, Never Summer Lotus and Jones Mothership…or do you have another suggestion?. I’m 5’6 and 150lbs and 8.5 boots…ride everything but tend to lean towards fresh pow, steeps, trees, and groomers. My focus next season is progressing jumps (natural and park) and stepping up in speed. Looking for more pop and especially stabilty at higher speeds and would like a decent torsional flex. Intermediate rider hitting about 25 days per season…my current main board is the Sweet Tooth which I will keep for jibs and all around fun…just a bit chattery and not the greatest edge hold. Thanks so much for your help!!!
