Location: Mammoth, CA Snow Conditions: Hardpacked to softpacked to icy groomers to powder. Setup: I rode the Endeavor BOD with Union Team bindings and Vans Veil Boots size 8. Size: 155cm. First Impression: Weight: Average Flex: Noticeably stiffer than the previous Endeavor boards I rode (Color and Boyfriend) and more aggressive than them. The B.O.D was stiffer longitudinally with a softer nose and tad stiffer tail to the board. The zero camber makes it feel more charging and less playful. I thought the B.O.D handled best on freeriding, steeps and jumps. The B.O.D has zero camber with wings. Basically the board is zero camber/flat to the contact points and then has “wings” that gives the board a reverse camber forgiveness on the contact points. Turning: There wasn’t any hooking or catchyness to the board but it could handle aggressive quick turns and rode really good on edge even on the longer drawn out turns. The stiffer flex helped it with stability on the mountain and on the steeps, it charged without getting that soft loose feeling. It rode more like a camber board than anything else which is good, it means it’s predictable but also smooth riding in each turn. Setup: I rode the Endeavor Boyfriend with Union Team bindings and Vans Veil Boots size 8. Size: 148cm. First Impression: I could love this thing like a boyfriend on the mountain – it rips and doesn’t talk back. Weight: Lighter than average Flex: The Boyfriend was longitudinally more stable than torsionally, it had a softer torsional flex to it and all around the board was mid-flex for me. It wasn’t as soft as I was expecting it to be and it felt like I was riding a bigger board. The Boyfriend Series comes in regular camber and RC which is reverse camber from the middle of the inserts and then a flat area from the middle of the inserts to the contact points. I rode the regular camber version which helped for stability and traditional carving on the board. Turning: Really easy to engage into turns and effortless in turning. The sidecut was quick and definitely shorter turns were more comfortable on the Boyfriend. Stable: It never felt like I was riding a small board because it handled speed better than some […]

Location: Mammoth, CA Snow Conditions: Hardpacked to softpacked snow. Setup: I rode the Endeavor Color with Union Team bindings and Vans Veil Boots size 8. Size: 155cm. First Impression: Quick to rip and ready for jumps! Weight: Average Flex: I’ve been on the Color series before and it still kept the similar ride with some upgrades to it. The flex didn’t feel much different though the catalog say it went a tad stiffer (up one) since last year, it is still a freestyle board from the Endeavor line so the flex is softer to mid range. The tip to tail carbon stringers helped stiffen it up for cruising and the reverse camber on the board helped make it more playful. Torsionally quick and snappy between turns. For park, it’s perfect for jumps. The Color is reverse camber so it has reverse camber from the middle of the inserts and then a flat area from the middle of the inserts to past the contact points on the nose and tail. Turning: The first turns with the color were quick, very quick and aggressive. It was a good friendly reminder of what an aggressive sidecut can feel like on a board. I […]
