For Triple Base Technology, Bataleon leads the charge by standing out from the crowd and doing a shape that works for a range of riders. TBT is flat between the bindings with angled side bases that are lifted with gradually increasing angles. TBT comes in many options with jib, twin, freestyle, all mountain and freeride. New for 2013, Bataleon presents a new signature Disaster Gulli pro model for team rider Gulli Gudmundsson, the new Global Warmer high end jib/park board, a new TBT powder board called the Camel Toe and Bataleon outerwear (not pictured). Bataleon Riot The most tech of all our true twins. Triax glass, core core and basalt stringers make this board more poppy than an opium farm in the South Pacific. This board can handle any and every line in the park. Ridden by the team when they want to keep smiling even if things get serious. Features twin TBT, 24 party pattern, core core, tri ax laminate, sintered base, lightning edges, basalt enhanced, twin outline and contact shape, stiffness: 7-8-7. Sizes: 151, 154, 157, 159W Bataleon Fun.Kink Seriously! What are you expecting to read here? This board has freestyle TBT with a softer twin flex and […]

Location: Winter Park, CO Snow Conditions: Hardpacked to softpacked groomers. Setup: I rode the Bataleon Whatever with Union milan bindings and Vans Ferra boots size 8. Size: 159cm First Impression: Wow there’s no flat basing on this board, you are either carving or carving. Weight: average. Flex: The Whatever is on the more playful side of the spectrum but it offers a stiffer longitudinally flex so it feels more stable than you’d expect and it allows for more response when it comes to carving and fun playful pop for freestyle. Torsionally it’s softer which gives it quick edge to edge response for turns. The Whatever has freestyle TBT which has a symmetrical nose and tail TBT, medium wide center base is flat and it’s good for all around riding. Turning: I was not expecting the Whatever to be so quick and responsive when it came to turning. It was really quick to engage into turns and you pretty much were always in a carve on this board. It was a bit more aggressive in the carving, quick engagement and held each turn smoothly once in them but it was shocking how quickly you were on edge. Stable: The Whatever could […]
