Today was the last day of the Burton Demo Tour at Mammoth Mountain but the perfect day for me to try out multiple boards that I wanted to get on. It was a cold start to the day with the winds picking up and hardpacked conditions on the mountain but was able to meet up with Sam and Pat from Red Bull for riding most of the day with them. We ended up lapping Forest Trail park most of the day. [singlepic id=10462 w=500 h=281 float=] The Burton Demo Tour, gotta love demo tours. They were packed during all the demo days, definitely a popular brand for Mammoth riders. I ended up taking out the Sherlock with cobrashark bindings, Joystick with Cartels and Blender with scribe bindings. Plus I rode the DC Devun on the way to and from the demo. [singlepic id=10463 w=500 h=281 float=] Sam stuck to his board and of course made it look good all day [singlepic id=10464 w=1000 h=563 float=] Pat got on the method, you know the 1,499.00 board. Of course when you get on the method, you have to do a method! So he pulled it off and we applauded. Pat was not […]

It’s the beginning of demos here in Colorado which means that your favorite companies will be available to try out on snow and see what you think about the gear. This is where I spend a lot of my time for reviews so if you happen to attend a demo, look for me cause chances are that I will be there as well. Currently for this upcoming weekend, I’ll be riding Loveland on Saturday for the Lib Tech Rider Appreciation and Demo Day, Lib and GNU boards available and if you are early to the tent you get a coupon for a $25 lift ticket. On Sunday I’ll be riding Copper and Capita/Union will be there for both days this weekend to demo out equipment. Let the review season begin! [singlepic id=6711 w=400 h=300 float=] I’ll be updating this list as I see the demo dates get announced from companies. Right now there’s a smaller percentage than normal who know their dates but this will give you a good idea on what dates might have more brands present. Always check with the mountain or company prior to the demo to make sure it will happen. These days are usually tentative […]

I came down to Keystone friday night to hang out with friends at a condo for the weekend. I enjoyed the condo a lot more than them since I was feeling under the weather last week. It finally caught up to me that I needed to take a day off from work and riding. I feel a lot better now and am glad I’ll be flying to Vegas without being sick. Today I was determined to hit the snow before I headed to Denver. We hit up the mountain in the early morning and was able to hit up the end of the Burton Demo Tour stop. I spent a couple runs on the Vapor, finally! Supposedly it was Keir’s vapor (had the frends sticker) so thanks Keir for giving it back so I could ride it. It definitely didn’t make me ride like Keir so bummer. I’ll be up the Vapor review soon, maybe tonight if I have internet access definitely by tomorrow. I didn’t do a good pairing job with the bindings, the lexas were a bit too soft for the vapor riding. I will say this…the board isn’t worth the price. I understand the […]
