Location: Winter Park, CO Snow Conditions: Hardpacked to softpacked to icy groomers. Setup: I rode the Burton Lexa EST’s on the Burton Easy Living with my Vans Veil Boots size 8. Time to set up the binding: Took time tracking down the bindings at the burton demo but once we found them, the set up was quick and easy to the board. Fit: My boot can fit in both the medium and large women’s burton bindings but I prefer the large bindings for fit to my boots which feel more comfortable and still spot on for fit. First Impression: I’ve said a lot about the Lexa’s but they are the Burton women’s binding I would ride all the time and first impression is always like coming back to a binding that works, hands down, just works. Appearance: I ended up with the black Lexa EST’s at the on-snow demo but they also come in purple speck and white/black speck. I personally know the black is the safe bet, the popular color choice but I would have liked to try the purple specks because I just enjoy some good looking purple bindings every now and then. The lexa’s kept with the […]

Location: Breckenridge, Colorado Snow Conditions: Hardpacked to icy conditions on the mountain. Setup: I rode the Burton Lexa bindings with a variety of Burton snowboards (Lipstick, Feelgood, Whammy Bar) with my Vans Veil Boots size 8. Time to set up the binding: Average time with the EST system and disc system. I rode both types of Lexa’s and neither were an issue for setting up/ease of use. Fit: The fit on the lexa’s is always fine, no gaps in the width of the binding and easy to adjust the toe and ankle strap to fit my boot. First Impression: The lexa’s are that solid binding I go to for demo days, they do the job and no matter what board I ride…they work for them. Appearance: The 10-11 Lexa line is simple in the design and colors but in good style. There are bright option colors but I ended up riding the white and black choices which suit my style more. Comfort: Always a super comfortable binding with the amount of padding and cushioning around your boot from the baseplate to the highback to the straps. Functionality: The lexa’s are a very functional women’s binding, the EST system is easy […]

Location: Loveland, Colorado Snow Conditions: Bluebird sunny skies and hardpacked groomed runs. Setup: I rode the Burton Lexa EST on the Burton Custom with my Bonfire Geo boots size 8. Time to set up the binding: Average time with the EST system, didn’t have to wait long and the staff had no problem setting it up. Fit: The Lexas fit my boot just fine, at first I thought that toe strap wasn’t centered but that’s the design of it. First Impression: I can always rely on the lexa’s as the everything binding, good midway point for women riders. Appearance: The lexa’s are never really over the top in the design, simple and elegant with a friendly girly spark to it. I rode the white coral bindings and the color was just enough for me. Comfort: The lexa’s have been a comfortable binding each time I ride them. The ankle strap has really good padding and cushioning and the toe strap grips the boot just right when riding. I’ve never had a pressure point with the lexas. Functionality: The lexa EST’s work solely with the ICS snowboards allowing for unlimited stance options but since I rock +15, -15 that doesn’t matter […]
