On the first day of demos I apologized for bringing the sun to Washington but yesterday the Northwest was back in full action. There was new snow on Mission Ridge for day two of the demos and a storming day on the mountain with cloudy conditions. Some runs you’d be riding through foggy clouds and come out to clear visibility. It was a good day to try a range of boards and enjoy some freshies in the process. I ended up riding the Lib Tech Attack Banana with K2 Formula bindings, GNU B-Pro with Union Trilogy bindings, Nitro Eero Ettala with Union Force bindings and Capita Dan Brisse with Union Trilogy bindings. Matt at C3 setting up the GNU B-Pro with Union Trilogies. Pink can be badass when done right, that setup was the perfection of badass pink with unicorns and brightness all around it. There was a little bit of new snow on the mountain so the groomed runs had some fun freshies to be enjoyed and off the sides were a bit more powder. As the day winded down, it was time for the Chinese Downhill race. The Chinese Downhill is everyone racing at the same time down […]

When America’s Next Top Pro Model began at Mt Hood yesterday, it was the place for pro snowboarder with pro models to come in order to prove they are the Top Pro. Plenty of big names came out to ride like Heikki Sorsa, Iikka Backstrom, Austin Smith, Bryan Fox, Marc Frank Montoya, Kyle Clancy, Chris Bradshaw, Lane Knaack, Derek Dennison, Joe Sexton, Keegan Valaika, Chris Grenier, Aaron Biittner, and Lauri Heiskari. The full updates will be available at Snowboarder Mag including a lot more photos, videos and words explaining what went down. It was an insane day yesterday and today only proved to be better as the riders competed in spin to win off the jump, highest air in the pipe and the chinese downhill. The Top Model won’t be crowned till the awards tomorrow night so until then, here’s the update on today’s fun in the sun as the pros threw down and proved why they have pro model snowboards. [singlepic id=9691 w=600 h=338 float=] The morning started with the spin to win contest on the jump where 9’s were thrown out not long in and Kyle Clancy ended up taking home the win.
