Wow last year in Vegas and it’s not winding down in any way, shape or form. I flew in to Vegas on Monday night, leaving the snowstorm in Denver that dropped a good couple inches on my way to the airport. I arrived in Vegas, got picked up by Ryan and we headed to the Excalibur (our cheap, fantastically upgraded lodging while in Vegas). The night started with drinks at Mandalay and people watching. I got a sneak peek of the Nitro catalog excited at the lineup while sitting at the bar. We met up with the Never Summer crew who was sitting just feet from Gene Simmons from KISS and Carrot top. Of course with plenty of drinks, we got photos to take home. Stayed out till 1am dancing and drinking. Definitely a way to start Vegas right! Tuesday I was up early, with appointments from 9am to 5pm it was going to be a long day on my feet. I met with Signal, O-matic, DC, 686, Jibhunt, Burton, Nitro, Nike, Spy and High Sierra. I started the morning out with Never Summer. It was great to run into Stephanie from Park City who I did an […]

Ahh finally made it to Mt. Hood…the summer shred destination. The snowboard camps are done so the mountain is quiet with just locals and some ski racers left. There is still quite a bit of snow on the mountain and I was very happy to see a halfpipe to ride. Unfortunately I’m riding alone this time…but I’m fine with that, always a chance to meet people on the mountain and I have music just in case I don’t. My best friend was gonna come down, but she broke her arm before getting the chance to hit snow. So if you have the summer itch, it’s quiet and there’s a good amount of snow left to ride. The Timberline park is really good right now, halfpipe, rails and jumps with very minimal people. Downside is lift tickets are $49 and they checked me on every chairlift today for a ticket. Heading up the magic mile chairlift This morning I woke up in Gresham, checked out the webcam and Timberline Lodge at the base was foggy…so I went back to sleep until the fog wore off. By 10am it looked a lot better and the mountain was sunny for […]
