The SIA Tradeshow is underway in Denver, Colorado and day 2 was packed with more appointments to see what’s coming out for 2012. I’ve been able to see everything from snowboards to outerwear to gloves to goggles, just getting an idea of what is to come next year. It’s also overwhelming with the amount of information you receive so looking forward to winding down with all the catalogs to really dive in deep. I’m tweeting from the show so make sure you follow me on twitter.com/shayboarder for the latest updates from SIA. Weekend snowboards and Bond outerwear were a breathe of fresh air. The boards have a variety of options from traditional camber to flapjack (flat) to reverse camber to smorgasbord (reverse flat reverse). [singlepic id=10587 w=600 h=900 mode=watermark float=] I’ve owned Helly Hansen at some time or another in my outerwear and wanted to check out what they were offering for looks this year. Here’s one of their men’s jackets coming out with a fade plaid design. [singlepic id=10602 w=1000 h=667 mode=watermark float=] Oakley goggles keeping their signature series [singlepic id=10597 w=1000 h=667 mode=watermark float=] Bataleon’s TBT is always popular. They did the evil twin and evil twin artist series that you can […]

With Day 1 accomplished and plenty of comments coming in on what to check out, day 2 had a mission to continue meeting with companies to see the latest products. The morning started out with Arbor who I was really excited to see, they have beautiful snowboards that ride equally as well as they look. This year a friend in Steamboat who is an amazing artist, designed one of the graphics so I was able to see that board and I’m hoping to interview him about his artwork on the board. A look at Arbor The next stop was Rome Snowboards where I finally got to meet Ron and Anna. This season I’ll be testing Rome bindings to give input on them and really amped about that. We went through the boards and bindings, I’ll be going back to Rome to get a glimpse at the outerwear which for the 2nd year looks like they stepped it up. Rome Artifact 1985 During some downtime, Todd Richards and I posed with what looks like spirit fingers. I stopped by the MTNOPS booth for the bazillionith time but this time got to check out the line, which features all products made in […]
