It’s a bummer that Atomic snowboarding is losing such a gem but I am stoked that MTNOPS.com is getting him. Here’s the press release on Eric Pearson’s newest job in the industry. Eric had an industry profile interview with me earlier this summer and I definitely have high regards for him and his knowledge. Make your way over to MTNOPS.com if you haven’t yet. It’s a growing community and expect to see more from them in the future…a lot more. OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE – Hailey, ID – October 29, 2008 – MTNOPS is proud to introduce Eric Pearson as its Brand Manager. Eric’s experience in retail and brand management will be invaluable to the growth of the MTNOPS brand. Eric joins MTNOPS after serving as Snowboard Product Director for Atomic Snowboards. “Eric will be a key player in bringing our exclusive American-made snowboarding gear to the public,” according to JP Stoermer, MTNOPS co-founder. Eric’s involvement in MTNOPS is only one aspect of the rapidly developing business. “These guys have put together the best thing I have ever seen for tying the web and snowboarding together. I can’t even explain my excitement of what MTNOPS will do for snowboarding,” beams Eric. […]

Industry Profile: Atomic Snowboard Product Director Eric Pearson Shay: So tell us about yourself? Eric: I grew up in a huge town (300 people) outside of Blackfoot, Idaho. Winters are cold and the mountains nearby are rad! I grew up with strict parents who taught me to work hard (I figured out the play hard thing on my own). I like short walks on the beach, funny movies and I’m an Aries. Shay: What is your job title? Eric: Snowboard Product Director for Atomic. Shay: Did your parents question your job choice? Eric: Ha, they have questioned every choice I have made. Shay: What was your first set up? Eric: Round 1 was a Burton Performer with some RAD sorels. Round 2 was a Ride Timeless. Shay: What is your current set up? Eric: I have been rocking the Atomic Cold Smoke and our new split board, the Poacher. Shay: What was your first job? Eric: I grew up in a small farming community, so shoveling shit and moving sprinkler pipe are at the top of my list there. Oh, I also held a respectable position at McDonalds for 4 hours once. Shay: What’s a great day of snowboarding to […]
