Founded by Pro snowboarder Mikey LeBlanc and designer Scott Zergebel, Holden has kept their goals set on a fusion of fashion and function with design, tailored fits and high quality technical features in environmentally committed outerwear. Their desire is to create products that make people happier and healthier. Holden has grown from the quiet NW brand into well known eco friendly brand in snowboarding. For 2012, Holden offers three collections: the limited (a pinnacle series using the most premium fabrics, technologies and design details to last a lifetime), the Holden (the heart and soul, timeless quality, excellence in fabrication, obsessive attention to detail and a continued dedication to eco-friendlier) and the Holden Classics (100 percent pure Holden, it celebrates Holden’s most renowned cuts, colors and silhouettes). Holden also branches out with year round wear of headwear, fall jackets, fleece and t-shirts. Everything from Holden comes in the Holden fit, a tailored fit designed to not be tight and not huge but designed for movement. For collaborations, Holden has joined efforts with Union Bindings and Vans Boots for 2012. Both of the collaborations are at the bottom of the post. Please remember this is a sneak peak, the entire Holden line […]

Holden keeps their objective simple and clear to snowboarders; give them style, functionality with respect to the environment that looks good. The Holden look continues with that motto and for 10-11 they’ve expanded their eco-minded technologies to 90% of the product line including the lower priced classics collection. They’ve recycled zippers and insulation, and automatically offer DWR (water repellent fabric coating) that’s PFOA free. From twill to hemp to denim, their fabrics stand out and keep the Holden look. Unfortunately most of my photos are of the women’s outerwear, sorry men I’ll try to add some shots of the men’s gear in later.
Located in the heart of downtown Portland, Holden Outerwear doesn’t blend into the surroundings on the mountains with a easy to spot style of outerwear. With pro shredder Mikey LeBlanc in charge, the company continues to break out designs, colors and styles that riders want more of each season. I stopped by their offices in Portland last Wednesday to check in and see what goes on behind the scenes at Holden. When you first walk into Holden it isn’t your typical snowboarder that greets you at the door but a smooth skiing skier that says welcome to Holden. [singlepic id=6078 w=400 h=267 float=] The Portland office vibe is amazing and beautiful to be in. Holden’s office continues with pieces of outerwear around the office. [singlepic id=6079 w=400 h=267 float=] The first person who greeted me when I walked into Holden was Mikey LeBlanc. He is the man behind Holden, the genius, the shredder. He’s working here in the conference room and on his right was the 10-11 lines for Holden being created and completed. [singlepic id=6082 w=400 h=267 float=] Holden designs featured around the office [singlepic id=6080 w=267 h=400 float=] The waiting area at Holden is stocked with magazines, posters […]
