Usually Mondays are impossible to get out on the slopes because of work and getting things done for the week ahead but today it was a good time to take a break, finish up some footage for the Mammoth video and get some quick turns in. Over the weekend I went out with Mammoth’s snow reporter Ashley and filmer Justin to ride in one of the groomer web videos. Some of the footage from Saturday’s groomers ended up being on the Anaheim Duck’s game in a commercial about Mammoth so that was rad to see. [singlepic id=10322 w=500 h=281 float=] Sun kissed snow on the mountain…it was a day to be thankful for edges on snowboards [singlepic id=10321 w=500 h=281 float=] Ashley and Adina during our waiting time before riding down [singlepic id=10323 w=500 h=281 float=] We took a couple laps on the runs we needed to get and then headed through the Forest Trail Park for a couple laps. Had my first good crash in the jump line. I’m feeling more comfortable but also still needed to step it up on jumps more often.

Sundays are my favorite day of the week in Mammoth. It’s the day that I can sleep in, relax with my dog in the morning and hit up the slopes for the afternoon when it gets quiet in town again. Adina, Dan and Ashley at the top of the mountain [singlepic id=10312 w=500 h=281 float=] It was a beautiful day on the slopes with sunny blue skies and really hardpacked conditions. Definitely a day to hold your edges are sharp for the icy spots. I headed out with Adina, Dan and Ashley for the afternoon, I must say we have a blast in the gondola and chairlifts rides. Adina skiing down [singlepic id=10313 w=500 h=281 float=] Ashley pausing on the mountain [singlepic id=10314 w=500 h=281 float=] We started with a easy run on Discovery chair for the easiest park, then headed up the gondola for a lap, then chair #3 for another lap and made our way near Canyon for a couple more park runs then back to Forest Trail park. Good mix of park and freeriding for the day. Adina and Ashley coming down from Chair #3 [singlepic id=10315 w=500 h=281 float=] Ended the day as the mountain was […]
