Setup: I rode the Never Summer Infinity with my Union Team bindings and Vans Veil Boots size 8. Size: 154cm. First Impression: Continues to be the women’s SL – ride anything board Weight: average. Flex: The Never Summer Infinity is NS’s all mountain freestyle board for women and the flex matches that, it’s a medium flex board. Not soft, not stiff – just in the middle of the two. Torsional soft between the bindings which gives it a quick responsive flex and longitudinally stiffer from nose to tail. Stiffer nose that lets it charge and ride through choppy conditions and a softer tail that helps give it some freestyle fun. The Infinity features RC technology which is reverse camber, rocker and camber, rocker between the feet and camber just outside of the bindings. Turning: Whether you want short or long radius turns, the Infinity does both without issues. The softer torsional flex helps for responsive short radius turns and the longitudinal flex from nose to tail gives it the stability for long drawn out turns.
Location: Loveland, CO & Timberline, OR Snow Conditions: Loveland was hardpacked to light powder on the runs. Timberline, OR was hardpacked to slushy snow conditions. Setup: I rode the Never Summer Infinity-R with my Force and Force SL bindings and Bonfire Geo boots. Size: 156cm. First Impression: Weight: average Flex: The Infinity hasn’t changed much since the switch from camber to reverse camber. Overall it’s a medium flex board with the flex torsionally softer between the bindings and longitudinally stiffer from nose to tail, it’s what gives it that all mountain do everything ride that it’s known for. When it comes to playfulness, the nose is stiffer than the tail (giving it the stability on charging) and the tail is softer (making it still fun for tail butters and presses). Turning: The Infinity-R handled the long radius drawn out S turns without feeling like I would hook the board or needed to turn quicker than I wanted, but also when I needed quick responsive sharp turns it allowed me to get them done. On the hardpacked groomers with some icy spots, it held an edge and gripped the icy areas so I never felt unstable on them. It was easy […]

2008-2009 Never Summer Infinity R Update: Back at SIA, the Infinity was to be released as a regular cambered board. This has changed and now the Infinity for 08-09 season will be a reverse camber snowboard. Never Summer has their own patent pending recurve camber rocker with two cambered areas from the feet out toward the tip and tail and rockered under foot and a Vario Power Grip sidecut radius. Location: A-Basin, CO & Loveland, CO Snow Conditions: A mixture of powder runs and groomers. The majority being powder turns at A-basin. At Loveland in early October, rode hard packed icy groomers to bumpy snow groomers. Setup: I rode the Never Summer Infinity-R with my Rome Madison bindings and my Vans Omni Focus boots. At Loveland I rode the Infinity-R with Raiden Tigre bindings and my Vans Omni Focus boots. Size: 156cm at Loveland, 154cm at A-basin. I prefer the 156cm for me.First Impression: I heart the infinity…but lets see how it is with a reverse camber on it and new sidecut. Weight: average Flex: The Infinity is the women’s SL…the do everything board for women riders that want all mountain freestyle that you can take in the park or […]
