No companies are exempt from issues whether it’s during manufacturing, business deals and just plan things not working out the way you wanted them to. The past couple months, there’s been a lot of unknown and silence from Omatic Snowboards. No sneak peeks into their upcoming line or news from the brand, but now you can finally get a sneak peek at the 2011-2012 Omatic line. Founder Jason Kanes is still behind the brand but there’s definitely been a chance of scenery for a couple other familiar names/faces in the line. For 2011-12, Omatic continues with their BS Technology which combines reverse camber with an industry first 3-Dimensional Bowed Surface technology. BS Technology is featured on 4 out of their 9 boards this year. I haven’t heard if the boards are still being made in Elan Factory but I have heard they will be out in November for the upcoming season. [singlepic id=12439 w=500 h=500 mode=watermark float=] [singlepic id=12440 w=500 h=500 mode=watermark float=] I’ll keep updating this post as I receive more information. Thanks to David for forwarding this on!

Omatic marches steadily into the future as a company for the riders by riders and they won’t BS their way into your heads. Since Omatic was introduced to the public they’ve developed with the changes, seen riders come and go but continued to be about having a fun ride built with honesty. With legendary Todd Richards behind the company and Louie Vito flipping and spinning his way through contests, it’s no surprise they have boards that can handle some tough riding. New for 10-11, Omatic moved their snowboard production from China to Austria’s Elan Factory and the BS Technology is a bit more mellow/subdued than last year’s introduction. More boards feature the BS technology like the Louie Vito Celebrity, Extr-TXTR and women’s Disco. [singlepic id=8782 w=900 h=600 float=] Omatic Louie Vito Celebrity Features: True twin shape is a high performance ride that helps put Mr Vito on the contest podium and features Sintered BS Tech base, dualslant sidewall technology, triaxial fiberglass matrix, dualBEAM carbon laminates, clevercore technology, triradial sidecut technology, men’s park flex pattern. Sizes: 148, 152, 155, 158, 161 [singlepic id=8780 w=600 h=900 float=] Omatic Extr-TXTR Features: It will help you butcher the park like your fingers butcher the […]

With the motto “handcrafted by expensive machines” its easy to love O-matic snowboards with their fun no-BS approach to snowboarding. Beyond the company and the names behind it, once you ride the boards you aren’t disappointed by the little shred company that could. O-matic snowboards was the last stop on Day 2 and located in beautiful Encinitas in Southern California. When I was driving through town I wondered how hard it would be to spot the snowboard offices but it’s not hard to miss the massive poster that fills the window and with front row parking I found myself soon to walk into O-matic Snowboards. [singlepic id=6693 w=395 h=297 float=] Upon walking into O-matic you get the full tour, almost everything is in sight of the front door which makes it very customer orientated with all eyes on the prize. I was faced with Jason Kanes and Tanya Otero who would be my tour guides for the afternoon. The best part was sitting down with both of them and just talking (some off the record so for my ears only) and what’s coming up for O-matic including possible changes in store for their snowboards.
