This past season, LNP filmed his part for No Correct Way after lacing up the new black Libertines each day, or night, that he went out. We thought of giving out the boots he used this past winter to someone in need, but since no one really wants used, stanky snowboard boots, we decided against it. Instead, we’re giving two lucky shreds out there the chance to win a NEW pair of Rome Libertine boots signed by LNP. Here’s the first way to win: Correctly answer these four questions and email the answers to winner@romesnowboards.com along with your full name and mailing address and we’ll pick one winner at random. 1. What type of liner does the Libertine boot have? 2. Name one thing that’s on fire in the No Correct Way Teaser (we mean real fire not in the 1994 NBA JAM “he’s on fire” sense) 3. What color do you prefer in the Libertine? 4. What mountain is LNP at where he’s up on a rail throwing the peace sign? Here’s the second way to win: You may notice in the teaser that LNP’s looking a little like Jimi Hendrix has possessed his soul these days. The question […]

Location: Keystone, CO Snow Conditions: Snowing with hard groomed to packed powder conditions on the runs. Setup: I rode the Rome vamp boots with the Rome Blue snowboard and Rome Madison bindings. First Impression: I had the chance to try these on at SIA since the display models are size 8. I was stoked to see that they fit me and were quite comfortable. Weight: Relatively light to average weight Lacing System: The Vamp have the boa focus system offering separate upper and lower cables to tighten the boots. Appearance: I tried on the black vamps which were black with some cool blue highlights. I really liked the look of them at SIA but even with me…I prefer black boots that can get dirty, muddy and overall not look bad after a season of riding. Flex: When I tried them on at SIA, I only flexed my ankles to the toes of the boots…but did not flex side to side in the boot. The flex forward was fine and comfortable for me. When I got on snow with the boots, the side flex was softer that I thought. I remember thinking it was so soft that I was relying a […]

I’m a huge Rome fan. In fact looking through the stuff I own…a lot of it is Rome. I own two pairs of Rome Madisons plus numerous soft goods from Rome. Every year at SIA…I look forward to seeing what Rome has in store, whether it’s new boards, boots, bindings or outerwear. Definitely one of my favorite companies to support. This year Rome is adding 4 new boards to the line up: Riff (Wide version of the Mod), Minishred, lo-fi, and Jett. I was stoked to see the minishred a kid snowboard and the name…that’s what I call the kids on the hill! The two new womens models are definitely great to add to the mix. The lo-fi being a new womens true twin that can be rode in the park or in backcountry and the Jett being a entry level womens board to progress with. I have rode the 08-09 Rome Blue and reviewed it here. If you want Rome Bindings click hereIf you want Rome Outerwear click here SIA Photos Rome Lo-Fi Courtesy of B.B. Rome Detail and Vinyl Rome Blue and Jett Rome Flag, Anthem and Notch Notch this year added the 162cm to the size range […]
