In only a matter of months winter will return to the mountains and cover our favorite playgrounds with a blanket of white so that snowboarders can play once again. Until then we have some of the best filmers and riders out there bringing us snowboard films each season to keep us occupied until winter strikes. For the first time in years I’m back in my original stomping grounds of Washington state and will be here during premiere season. The northwest scene brings out some amazing riders from the woodwork and I’m looking forward to seeing these films with old friends. Most of these films are premiering around the United States, so click on the titles for their websites and tour dates.
The Reunion is back in Boulder, CO to bring the stoke with 2 film premieres that you won’t want to miss, Absinthe and FODT. I’ve seen both films and I will say, they are worth checking out! Here’s all the information for next week’s Reunion in Boulder. I unfortunately won’t be making it this year and trust me I wish I was! On Wednesday, October 14th, join Marc Frank Montoya, Technine, SOUND, and Satellite at The Reunion, Boulder’s 18th Annual kickoff of the snowboard season! This year, the line-up includes 2 of the most anticipated movies of the year: MFM/FODT’s “Hard to Earn” and Absinthe Film’s “Neverland”, plus Satellite’s Ride With Us. MFM and more riders from the Technine team will be in the house for autograph signing, and there will be tons of giveaways from Technine, SOUND, Satellite, Nomis, PBR, and more! This is an all ages event, with full bar for 21+. Tickets are available at Foxtheatre.com or by calling 303-443-3399. The theater is located at 1135 13th Street On the Hill in Boulder, CO. This one will sell out, so DON’T SLEEP! [singlepic id=6472 w=500 h=775 float=]

It’s another weekend of movie premieres in Colorado with a selection of snowboard flicks hitting up the Denver area and even one for Steamboat. The snowflakes are falling outside my window, snowguns have been running and hopefully Colorado will open the lifts for snowboarding soon. Until then, it’s time to shred flick it up. Ride Snowboards launches their movie night tomorrow, Thursday October 1st at the Gothic Theatre. $10 gets you in the door, entered for some sweet snowboard raffles and a chance to see three films: Ride’s “Along for the ride”, pirate movie productions “Jolly roger” and Six Eleven’s “This is Serious”. [singlepic id=6415 w=334 h=516 float=] Friday was a tough decision, drive 3 hours to Denver to see Forum’s Forever premiere (it’s worth it) or stay in Steamboat and watch TGR’s Sessions at the Steamboat Film Festival (worth it but worth it because I can watch with friends/locals, drink with friends/locals and walk home). So I’ll be staying in Steamboat. TGR will be premiering at part 1 of the Steamboat Film Festival on Friday, October 2nd in the Sheraton Ballroom. Tickets are $15 and available at Ski Haus, Surefoot and the door.
