I had missed seeing Think Thank RBLB premiere this summer at Mt Hood which was a bummer but it meant being able to check it out last night on the big screen in Seattle with Airblaster/K2’s Respect your Elders. The rain was pouring outside but snowboarders came out to check out the two local films built around northwest riding with an abundance of northwest riders. In my opinion, Jesse Burtner and Travis Parker showcase the fun of snowboarding hands down. After a couple hours in the King Cat Theatre watching those films, I just wanted to strap on my snowboard and ride down any patch of snow. [singlepic id=10011 w=500 h=281 float=] Airblaster & K2’s Respect your Elders was the first video of the night, I walked in a little bit late to check it out but got to see the riding from Baker, Tahoe, Alaska, Winter Park and Hood hit the big screen. Most of the film was realistic for snowboarders in the locations that they rode and anyone could ride. Seeing Parker on the big screen is always fun to watch and any film that has Travis Parker in it, is a favorite in my opinion. I spent […]

Last night was the Denver stop of the Absinthe Sphere of Influence tour in Colorado, with enough word on the street for people to check out this film it was sold out and needed an additional theatre to keep the party going on two screens. I made my way down to Denver to see Neverland for the 2nd time on the big screen and met up with Gags and Justin to watch the film. Thanks to Joshua and Drew for all their hard work on the film tours. Unfortunately a couple friends didn’t make it because they heard the show was sold out. In the rush to get to Denver, I forgot my camera battery so didn’t take as many shots with my blackberry. It was my first time hitting up a premiere in two locations and getting a sense for the different vibes at each one. Beaver Creek was by far my favorite, the opera house was ideal for premiering a movie and the vibe was great, everyone was really into it. Denver was a bit different, I’ve never seen so many people get up for bathroom breaks during a 40 minute film in my life but some people […]

The snowboard film premiere season is well underway in Colorado and with temperatures dropping the snowboarders are coming out to get stoked on the upcoming season. Last night in Denver was the At Once Productions “High Life” and Echo Mountain “Echodemic Volume 2” Premiere at the Gothic Theatre. These are the local Colorado films with local riders who are pumped to be showcased and are actually at the premiere with friends. [singlepic id=6299 w=400 h=300 float=] With Echo Mountain as a sponsor, the first 100 people to the premiere received a free day pass to Echo Mountain. I haven’t been to Echo Mountain yet, so now with a free ticket I’m looking forward to hitting up the terrain park resort here in CO. [singlepic id=6301 w=400 h=300 float=] We had a good crew of people to watch the film together. Once inside we made our way to the bar to get the drinks for the night. [singlepic id=6300 w=400 h=300 float=] The evening started with Gag’s being the MC [singlepic id=6302 w=400 h=300 float=] Echo Mountain’s “Echodemic” opened the show with a mix of skiers and riders throwing down at the features that Echo Mountain has throughout the season.
